How to Use ChatGPT as a Content Creator: My Workflow for Creating 60+ Pieces of Content Monthly
ChatGPT has been a GAME changer for my content creator business. It has allowed me to scale my operations without the need to hire new employees, which means that my profit margins have remained high. I’ve trained ChatGPT to be my content creator assistant and developed a workflow that allows me to create multiple pieces of content in a matter of minutes. Today, I’m going to share the entire process with you.
How It All Started...
Not too long ago, I found myself completely overwhelmed because of how low my reach was on Instagram was. After a year of exponential growth and massive reach, everything just slowed down. The only solution I found was expanding my digital presence beyond Instagram onto new channels.
The problem was that maintaining a robust digital presence, ensuring consistency across channels, and most importantly, keeping the content fresh and engaging seemed like an impossible task for a solopreneur like me.
One of the standout moments in my content creation journey was discovering the power of strategic content repurposing. Instead of getting caught up in the content creation hamster wheel, I focused on creating less but distributing more.
By streamlining my process and leveraging AI, I’ve successfully extended my reach, interacted with a diverse audience, and scaled my creator business like never before.
Now, let's take a look at how I use ChatGPT and other AI tools as a content creator.
The Primary Asset-Based Channels
The Blog/Podcast/YouTube
Every content strategy needs a cornerstone and it’s what I call the primary asset-based channel. These are channels where you don’t compete with any algorithms and have complete control over your content. This channel will continue working for you in the long run.
For me, that cornerstone is my blog. The blog serves as the wellspring of ideas and information from which other content formats are born. It’s where I express, explain, and explore topics in-depth.
And every content creator should have a prime asset to better position their authority and build more trust among their audience.
With the help of tools like Google Gemini, I’ve streamlined my topic research. This intuitive AI tool offers insights into trending topics, ensuring that my blogs stay relevant, timely, and appealing to my target audience and with tools like the AI headline analyzer from Coschedule, I’ve made sure to create SEO-friendly headlines that have boosted my reach.
The Secondary Asset-Based Channels
From Blog to YouTube
My secondary asset-based channel is YouTube. While YouTube does have an algorithm, your content can be discovered for years if it’s optimized correctly, that’s why I’m putting a lot of effort into YouTube.
When it comes to creating content for YouTube, I don’t create new content from scratch. Once the blog post is crafted, the next step is transitioning that rich content into engaging video formats. Here’s where ChatGPT shines.
This AI platform effortlessly turns my blog content into video scripts. These scripts then become the foundation for YouTube videos, which not only offer a new way to digest the content but also appeal to a more visually inclined audience.
The Email List
I also consider Email a secondary asset channel. With email, you technically can’t be discovered online, but it also helps you grow your brand and business and you still have full control of your content.
Here, ChatGPT comes to the rescue, helping convert the blog content into compelling email teasers. These emails, complete with links to the blog and YouTube video, serve as an effective engagement tool for my subscriber base.
The Algorithm-Based Channels
This is the first part of my content powerhouse system. Now, let’s talk about algorithm-based channels. These are channels that will give your brand a lot of visibility but you do compete with changing algorithms, and your content gets lost pretty easily.
Reels to drive traffic
Once the email teaser is ready, I use ChatGPT to turn these into scripts for Reels and use DM automation to drive traffic from my Instagram to my blog or YouTube video. As you see, my goal is to keep sending traffic to my primary and secondary asset-based channels.
Diversifying Video Content with OpusClip
After producing a full-length YouTube video, I rely on OpusClip to further repurpose it. This tool extracts 10 short clips tailored perfectly for platforms like TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Reels. This way, without creating new content from scratch, I’m able to amplify my presence on multiple channels.
Other Social Media Content
Using ChatGPT, I transform my blog into carousels (or Reels) and infographics tailored for Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook. These visually appealing formats ensure higher engagement and shareability.
Additionally, I craft IG Stories that not only showcase snippets of my content but also guide viewers to the main blog, creating a seamless interplay between different content forms.
Tapping into the Pinterest Potential
Technically, Pinterest is also an asset-based channel, a secondary one, since content there has a very long shelf-life. Pinterest is also is a goldmine for creators because it boosts your discoverability. From each blog, I design three captivating pins that serve as click magnets, driving considerable traffic back to the original content.
Simplifying Scheduling with Metricool
Lastly, as any digital creator will attest, consistency is key. Metricool’s text-to-generator AI feature ensures that my content, along with captivating captions, is scheduled and easily distributed along my channels.
From Metricool, I schedule content to Facebook, Linkedin, TikTok, Shorts, and some Instagram posts (mostly static) in just one go. They actually have a bulk upload feature that has been super helpful!
Wrapping Up
By using ChatGPT and AI tools like Google Gemini, OpusClip, and Metricool, I’ve built a content powerhouse system that allows me to create over 60 pieces of content per month for 9 different channels while spending only 45 minutes per day on content creation. This system has revolutionized my workflow, allowing me to scale my business efficiently and effectively.
